Episode 1, Page #2 - "Deep, Deep Trouble"
Aoi Notes: 05/25/2005
One thing I love about the Internet is that it’s the quickest way to get immediate feedback. After spending a month prepping Aoi House for its debut, finally getting to see it go live was a real treat, but it was the positive response that made it all the more worthwhile. And guess what? Today’s installment marks the very first appearance of Aoi House’s furry mascot--Echiboo!
Echiboo is a type of character that I was actually going to bring in before the relaunch, but didn’t get the chance to. Having Echiboo at the beginning of the story actually changes the entire dynamic for the better.
Right now, the pages aren’t toned. So, you can’t really get an idea of the spot patterns that Echiboo has, but I’m sure Shiei’ll make a cool omake for him one of these days. In fact, it’s because of Shiei’s great character design for Echiboo that I decided against having him look like a real hamster as I had originally imagined. And good thing I did!
Okay, enough Aoi talk for now. What I’m really pumped about is getting to see the season finale’s of Lost and Alias tonight. I am a huge J.J. Abrams fan and am dying to see what’s going to happen the plane crash survivors and Sydney Bristow this time! Those series are so cunning that every time one of your questions is answered...you’re left with even more!
I’d gush some more about my favorite TV shows, but I’ve got to troubleshoot some Internet problems I’m having. I’m on dial-up at the moment and it’s absolutely driving me crazy. Here’s hoping I get that fixed the next time we meet! *crosses fingers*
