And there you have it. The big cliffhanger that wraps up Aoi House In Love! Vol. 1 - "The Great Con Caper" and catapults us right into the final volume, which starts on Wednesday. You ready for it?
So, how's production coming along for the final book? Well, let's see... Shiei finished up drawing the last of the artwork for the chapter title page last week, Roy's wrapped up toning all the pages, and Vid's got about 60 pages left to letter. After that, we need to copy edit and do some lettering revisions, and then move right into laying out the final book. Probably by mid-March, I'll probably have a PDF proof of the entire book. An exciting progress, but always very nerve-wracking to get through.
Oh, the final book will have the following extras: "Aoi Notes: Final Edition" which will include both a section from me covering topics relevant to the last book and also a special strip from Shiei, we're also going to include one last "Fan Art Gallery," and there will be an 8-page color section that reprints the 4-Koma strips from the 2007 issues of Newtype USA (strips #13-#24). Plus, there will be the usual assortment of print-only extra art that do for the title pages and other filler spots. We go all out for the print editions, so be sure to grab a copy when it hits stores this June.
